A three-phase short circuit last summer became yet another proof of the value of dLab’s platform. Thanks to it, and the integration with Mirakelbolaget’s NIS system, Sjöbo Elnät was able to quickly locate the fault and act immediately.
For Sjöbo Elnät, operational reliability and digitalization are closely linked. With dLab’s technology installed throughout the grid, the company has gained a comprehensive overview that makes it possible to act proactively, but also faster and with greater accuracy when interruptions occur.
During the summer, the last distribution substation was connected, meaning Sjöbo now has a fully integrated system – a major security for both the company and their customers.
In July, a three-phase short circuit occurred with successful automatic reclosure. The incident was immediately identified by dLab’s solution dAnalyzer, and through the integration with Mirakelbolaget’s NIS system, the coordinates were automatically sent to the map. When technicians arrived at the location indicated, they found a tree with burned branches under the over head power line.

With dLab’s solution and the integration with Mirakelbolaget, Sjöbo Elnät can act on interruptions with greater certainty. This saves time in troubleshooting and analysis, provides a quick understanding of what has happened, and makes it possible to locate faults much faster. Fundamentally, it means safer operations and shorter outage times. The platform has also detected many high-ohmic earth faults that Sjöbo Elnät has been able to mitigate through targeted troubleshooting, leading to more proactive maintenance.
