Condition-based maintenance for substations

The aim of this project is to make maintenance work more efficient, cut cost and provide a more reliable grid. The result is a strategy and a system for condition-based maintenance data collection applied on parts of equipment in a substation. The project started in December 2019 and will end in September 2020. It is financed by Energiforsk and is a collaboration between Kraftringen and dLab.
Sub-project Monitoring Critical Infrastructure within the Project for Smart Public Environment (Smarta Offentliga Miljöer), Vinnova
In a joint project supported by Vinnova, Kraftringen, Sensative, T-Kartor, Mobile Heights, Protrol, Intive and dLab are to develop a system for faster and smarter fault detection in the grid. By including smart digital units in the grid in order to determine when and where an incident has occured, using IoT-technology as a robust means of communications to platforms for control and analysis, the goal is to make fault detection faster and in consequence, reparations of the faulty lines in the grid faster.
