dLab User Days 2026<\/strong> brought together DSOs from across the region for a few intensive days of knowledge sharing, discussions, and insights. There is often a bittersweet feeling when our User Days come to an end\u2014and this year was no exception.<\/strong> However, as we now reflect, we can confidently say that the event was a great success. This year, we even set a new record, both in the number of participants and the number of distribution system operators (DSOs). In total, around 50 participants from 26 DSOs attended, both large and small. That may also explain why we felt a little extra excited this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the days focus on updates to our intelligent platform\u2014supporting proactive operations, preventing outages, and improving grid visibility\u2014they\u2019re just as much about bringing DSOs together. It\u2019s a chance to learn from each other, share experiences around digitalization, and realise you\u2019re not alone in tackling everyday challenges. In the end, it all comes down to the same goal: ensuring a reliable power supply, 24\/7, all year round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"dLab<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

One of the highlights of the event was the panel discussion featuring Emma Herrlin<\/strong>, Power Engineer at Halmstad Energi; H\u00e5kan Nilsson<\/strong>, Head of Operations and Maintenance at H\u00f6gan\u00e4s Energi; and Marcus Karlsson<\/strong>, Head of Operations at Vaggeryd Energi. They shared how they use dLab\u2019s Intelligent platform as a decision-support tool in their daily operations, how they work with grid data in practice, and how they view the role of digitalization in the future power grid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The panel concluded with a concrete example from Christian Jackmar<\/strong>, Power Engineer at \u00d6stra Kinds Elkraft, where early warnings from the platform made it possible to act in time and avoid a power outage. You can read more about this case here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crisis Management Insights from dLab User Days 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When the unthinkable happens\u2014how prepared are you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

E.ON shared how they work with crisis management during so-called major disturbances. Peter Hjalmar<\/strong>, Regional Manager South at E.ON, provided insights into their response during Storm Johannes and how the organization mobilizes to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexander Karlsson<\/strong>, Grid Planner at M\u00f6lndal Energi, spoke about a different type of incident\u2014the explosion of a voltage transformer in R\u00e4vek\u00e4rr during the summer of 2025. A powerful explosion that immediately left over 20,000 customers without electricity. We learned about their subsequent efforts to restore power, ensuring that customers regained electricity within approximately five hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monitoring and Analysis of Secondary Substations<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For us at dLab, it was especially exciting to present more about our new product, developed together with Techinova<\/a>: dSense \u2013 Fault Passage Analyzer<\/strong>. This device functions as both a fault passage indicator and disturbance analyzer for secondary substations. It identifies fault direction, enables faster fault localization, and can support automated switching operations. The result is shorter outage durations and improved reliability of supply. It also represents an important step in our ambition to offer DSOs a comprehensive solution for grid monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is clear that a lot is happening in the industry right now. At the same time, many DSOs share similar challenges, and the need to exchange experiences and perspectives is greater than ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
